When a machine goes down, the clock starts. Every hour of downtime costs you production, money, and delivery commitments. Iron Mann Industries provides fast in-shop and on-site machinery repair for manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, and commercial operations throughout Genesee County and Mid-Michigan.
We don’t just weld it back together and hope it holds. We diagnose the failure, machine or fabricate the replacement parts, and repair the equipment properly so it stays running. If the original part failed because of a design flaw or material issue, we’ll tell you and build a better replacement.
What We Repair
If it’s made of metal and it broke, there’s a good chance we can fix it. We work on a wide range of industrial equipment and structures, including:
- Conveyor systems and material handling equipment
- Production line machinery and automated systems
- Excavator buckets, arms, and attachments
- Hydraulic cylinders and rams
- Industrial storage systems, racks, and pallets
- Mezzanines, platforms, and structural supports
- Specialized tables, jigs, and fixtures
- Food processing and packaging equipment
- Loading dock equipment and levelers
This is not an exhaustive list. If you have a piece of equipment that’s broken or worn and you’re not sure if we can help, call us at (810) 407-7585. We’ll give you a straight answer.
Emergency Repair
Production doesn’t stop on a schedule, and neither do breakdowns. We offer emergency repair service for situations where downtime is actively costing you money. Call us at (810) 407-7585 and describe the situation. If we can get to you, we will.
Emergency service is available for both in-shop work (bring us the broken part) and on-site repairs through our mobile welding unit. We prioritize based on safety risk and production impact.
Hydraulic Cylinder Repair
Hydraulic cylinders fail. Seals blow, rods get scored, barrels wear out. We rebuild and repair hydraulic cylinders for industrial and mobile equipment. In many cases, a rebuild is faster and significantly cheaper than sourcing a new OEM replacement, especially if the original manufacturer has long lead times or has discontinued the part.
We handle the machining, welding, and reassembly in-house. If the rod needs to be re-chromed or honed, we coordinate that and deliver a complete, tested unit back to you.
Custom Replacement Parts
OEM parts aren’t always the answer. Sometimes they’re backordered for weeks. Sometimes the manufacturer doesn’t exist anymore. Sometimes the OEM price is three times what the part is worth. We machine and fabricate replacement parts in-house using our CNC equipment and welding capabilities.
- Worn shafts turned down and sleeved, or machined new from scratch
- Custom bushings in bronze, steel, or nylon to fit worn bores
- Sprockets, gears, and drive components
- Broken brackets, mounts, and structural components re-fabricated
- Reverse engineering of damaged or obsolete parts
Bring us the broken part. We measure it, machine or fabricate a replacement, and get it back to you. If we can improve on the original design to prevent the same failure, we will.
On-Site Repair
Not every repair can happen in our shop. Heavy equipment, structural steel, and permanently installed machinery need to be fixed where they sit. Our mobile welding unit brings MIG, TIG, and Stick welding capabilities directly to your facility anywhere in Genesee County and surrounding areas.
Common on-site repair work includes structural steel reinforcement, conveyor frame repair, equipment mounting and anchoring, gate and barrier repair, and emergency weld repairs on equipment that can’t be moved.
How We Approach Repairs
1. Assessment
You call us with the problem. We ask questions to understand what broke, how critical it is, and what the timeline looks like. For on-site work, we may need to see the equipment before quoting.
2. Diagnosis and Quote
We identify the failure, determine whether to repair or replace the component, and give you a clear quote. No surprises.
3. Repair
We machine, weld, and fabricate whatever is needed. Because all of these capabilities are under one roof, your repair moves through a single shop instead of bouncing between vendors.
4. Verification
Every repair is inspected before the equipment goes back into service. We verify dimensions, weld integrity, and fit. If the repair involves a machined component, we check tolerances.
Industries We Serve
We work with manufacturing plants, automotive production facilities, food processing operations, warehousing and distribution centers, construction companies, and property management firms. If your business depends on machinery and equipment to operate, we’re the shop you call when something breaks and you need it fixed right.
Your machine is down. We pick up the phone. That’s the Iron Mann way.
